Just this weekend, Zooey began to talk....and talk....and talk....and talk. What exactly is she saying? Is she waxing philosophical about the emergence of online media? Is she perhaps expressing her dismay at the current state of our political discourse? Who knows. All I can say is that it's pretty entertaining stuff. Just take a listen!

That sweet baby is SOOO excited to be talking to her mama that she is bursting! The video made me tear up and laugh at the same time--and she is saying something, she really is, if only we could put on some kind of hat and translate. There have been a few times that Gus has told me about something that happened in his late babyhood just before he was able to talk--and it's so interesting to hear, now, what he thought of it. She's awesome!

I agree...she's definitely saying something! Sometimes when she's chatting away like this she'll pause mid-"sentence" and look up at me with this incredibly earnest expression, as if waiting for me to acknowledge that I've understood. I always nod and give her a little kiss and tell her OF COURSE I know what she's saying. By the way, I love that Gus remembers things from before he was talking...that just kind of blows your mind, doesn't it?
Tara, I've been checking out the pictures of Max, and he is absolutely frickin' adorable! What a darling you've got there. The picture of him at the restaurant with the crayons made me laugh out loud...that same thing has happened to us several times.
